Introduction

The School of Physics aims at building a first-class characteristic physics discipline and cultivating first-class top-notch physics talents. Currently there are 124 faculty members. In 2012, the physics discipline entered the top 1% of ESI ranking in the world, and in 2021, it entered the world's "201-250" in the "Physics and Astronomy" discipline of the QS ranking. The school focuses on the development of theoretical physics, condensed-matter physics, optics and computational physics, and has made a series of internationally influential achievements. In recent years, 44 papers have been published in Nature, PRL, PNAS, as well as Nature and Science family journals. The school has complete training systems for undergraduates, masters and doctors in the area of Physics and Applied Physics. The school adheres to the concept of international education and has established close contacts with many universities and scientific research institutions in the United States, Germany, Canada, Australia, Russia and other countries, with efforts to constantly improve the international vision and international communication skills of the students.
